Breast Implants and Mommy Makeovers

One of the most common reasons for women getting breast implants is to replace fullness lost due to childbearing. When a woman goes through pregnancy, her breast tissue and glandular matter swell up in anticipation of breastfeeding an infant. This is nature’s way and part of survival of the species. It can be a wonderful thing. Unfortunately, it can also zap away the fullness of a mommy’s bosom.

A pre-pregnancy and youthful breast is often full and perky. The external flesh is usually a taut container around the mammary glands and fatty tissue. When it stretches out in order to incorporate the maternal changes as well as the breast milk, it often never returns to the snug roundness it once was. Once a baby has been weaned, the internal components of the bosom may never be quite the same. This has come as quite a shocking revelation to many a young mom.

Mommy makeovers are quite popular with women who have finished childbearing. Tummy tucks and breast enhancements can give a mom back her curvy shape. Some women only need the insertion of an implant while others may need a nip and tuck in order to lift the bosom. These lifts are called “mastopexy” in medical jargon.

Once a woman has returned her figure to attractive youthfulness, she can focus on the next couple of decades of childrearing. A happy mommy who feels good about her looks will be an upbeat nurturer, as well.

Gummy Bear Breast Implant Gaining Approval

There is a new type of breast implant on the market which has been gaining approval around the globe. Gummy bear implants are one of the latest in technological advances in breast augmentation. These devices have already gotten the green light in European countries as well as in Canada. American individuals are intrigued with the new devices, too.

Breast augmentation surgery continues to be one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures on the market. Many women of all ages and situations desire a fuller bustline in order to enhance their overall figure and shape.

Currently, the implants on the market are filled with either silicone or saline solutions. Saline is actually a type of salty water similar to what the human body is comprised of naturally. This is a plus for those individuals who would like to stick to more natural approaches but the saline products are reportedly a bit firmer than some individuals would hope for. The silicone products offer a softer feel which more closely resembles natural glandular tissue.

The products named after gummy bears have their pros and cons as well. The cons may include that they have a slightly firmer feel than human flesh. The pros include that they are made from a silicone material which is bound together scientifically in order to be safer in case of rupture. They are currently undergoing clinical trials in the United States of America and so far the news is positive. Gummy bear breast implants may be the next most common enhancement option around.

Use Photos and Reviews to Help You Make a Decision on a Doctor

If you are in the market for a New Jersey plastic surgeon, it is important to know the outcome for most of their past patients. You have probably made a short list of doctors that have come recommended to you, and you might even know some of their prior patients. They may have raved about the work done, but it is important to make sure that the majority of patients have been satisfied, not just a few. Taking a look at each doctor's website could provide you with this information.

Most sites these days offer before and after pictures of past patients. This allows you to see firsthand how the surgeries they have done have turned out. Of course, only the best pictures will be posted in most cases, but you can at least compare the photos presented to those on other doctors' sites. One doctor's idea of a successful result may be different from another's, and more importantly, it may be different from yours. No doctor can guarantee a perfect result, but admiring and trusting the work of a surgeon is a good start.

Aside from photos, you should also consider testimonials, which nearly any doctor typically has on their site. Again, you can expect to find only good reviews, but you can often compare those from one site to another. The main point is finding the best doctor for you, and that requires you to gain some knowledge about each surgeon, and then decide if you are satisfied with what you find.

What's the Most Popular Breast Augmentation Size?

According to a study published in this year's March/April Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the most popular breast augmentation size is 300 to 400 cc, which creates a small to full c cup according to a recent ASAPS press release.

Of course, trying to determine one's post-breast augmentation cup size based on implant size alone is an iffy business. Numerous factors determine post-augmentation size. For instance, the amount of breast tissue a woman begins with, of course, affects the outcome. So does the profile of the implant used. High profile implants offer greater projection than low profile, but fit better on some women's frames. The placement of the implants also affect the post-op size. Implants placed beneath the muscle will have slightly less projection than those placed over the muscle.

Many plastic surgeons offer tools, such as temporary sizers to try inside a bra, and computer imaging, to help women envision how they might look at various sizes. Ultimately, these tools are ways to aid communication with one's surgeon. If he or she understands the look you want, they can determine which size and profile implant can best create that look on you.

Though many out there still tend to believe breast augmentation is for swimsuit models looking for that full-breasted look, this study shows most patients seek a more natural result, choosing more modest sized implants.

For those considering breast enhancement, there are numerous resources to turn to. Murrieta breast augmentation specialists at Renuance Cosmetic Surgery Center offer great information on their website. Or, consult plasticsurgery.org to locate a board certified plastic surgeon near you.

Hot Trends in Cosmetic Surgery: Atlanta Male Breast Reduction Surgery More Popular Than Ever

As cosmetic surgery for men becomes more mainstream, thousands of patients have flocked to plastic surgery practices for a procedure known as “male breast reduction surgery,” which seeks to flatten and eliminate enlarged male breasts.

In this procedure, surgeons use a small incision to enter the breast area to remove excess fat or tissue that may be causing the chest or nipples to appear “puffy,” “feminine” or “enlarged”.

And while the rise of male plastic surgery is still a shock for some, the staff at the Swan Center for Plastic Surgery in Atlanta are not the least bit surprised by this trend.

"For decades, men have been suffering with the embarrassment and low-self esteem that accompanies enlarged male breasts," says a Swan Center representative. "It’s no wonder why men are openly embracing a procedure that allows them to combat enlarged breasts with very little pain or downtime."

Just to be clear, enlarged male breasts are usually the result of a genetic condition known gynecomastia. Gynecomastia can occur in one breast or both, and usually will not resolve with a traditional diet or exercise routine.

And while most cases of enlarged male breasts are genetically caused, certain medications such as Zantac, Celexa, Zoloft, Xanax, Vytorin and Cipro are also known to cause enlarged male breasts as a side effect.

Yet for the most part, the Atlanta male breast reduction patients seen at the Swan Center on a daily basis have reportedly suffered with this condition since puberty. "Grown men often come in with painful stories of how they used to feel embarrassed to take their shirt off in the locker room or how they’d feel uncomfortable on the beach. It’s heart breaking to say the least," said a staff member.

Furthermore, this procedure is now equally popular among young adults, as pediatricians are even sending in their extreme cases of young men with enlarged breasts for surgical intervention.

And honestly, it’s great that doctors are starting to realize that this one simple procedure can save young men from years of embarrassment and insecurities caused by a condition that is beyond their control. Young men should be having the time of their life in high school and college— rather than feeling humiliated to take their shirt off at the pool or feel uncomfortable with certain clothing because of how it makes their chest look.

"We are truly happy to offer such a wonderful procedure at the Swan Center for Plastic Surgery," said the spokesperson. "It’s about time men start to experience some of the uplifting results of cosmetic surgery that women have taken advantage of for years!

For further information on Atlanta male breast reduction or to schedule a free consultation at the Swan Center for Plastic Surgery, call (770) 667-0904 or toll-free (800) 816-1057.

Older Job Hunters Seek Cosmetic Enhancement

As the competition for jobs heat up, more and more men and women are turning to cosmetic procedures for the youthful look they feel they need to stay competitive. Many who are in or near middle-age seek Botox, eyelid surgery and other cosmetic enhancement to compete with younger talent. And they may be wise to do so.

According to a recent New York Times article, those 45 or older are currently remaining unemployed much longer than their younger competitors. Age discrimination claims are also on the rise during this harsh current economic climate.

Though cosmetic procedures may or may not improve ones chances in the job market, they may offer a boost in self-esteem, which is also a valuable commodity.

For those seeking enhancement, eyelid surgery, facelift and neck lift procedures can help restore a more youthful look, but most people are turning to less expensive, non-surgical options such as Botox, and dermal fillers. As the cosmetic surgery industry as a whole face a slump, non-invasive procedures such as Botox injections are seeing an upturn.

There are numerous surgical and non-surgical procedures available to those who want a "fresher" look for their job search. For those considering procedures such as eyelid surgery, botox, microdermabrasion or abdominoplasty, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Orringer offers great information on his website.

Does Breastfeeding Really Cause Sagging?

As Mother's Day approaches, many soon-to-be moms have countless important decisions to make. One of these decisions concerns the merits and drawbacks of breastfeeding. Deciding to breastfeed your baby is an extremely personal decision. Of course, the psychological and physical health of the child plays a huge role in this decision-making process. Another issue, whether women openly to admit it or not, concerns breast aesthetics. It's been commonly believed for years that breastfeeding negatively affects breast shape, causing sagging and drooping. But, according to clinical studies, this is not actually the case.

In a 2007 study conducted by Kentucky plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Rinker, breastfeeding is not the true culprit. Instead, issues such as age, number of pregnancies, pre-pregnancy cup-size and smoking are the true causes of breast droop after pregnancy.

Though breastfeeding might not be the culprit, pregnancy still takes its toll, not only on the breasts, but other body parts as well. To aesthetically restore the post-pregnancy body, many women turn to mommy makeovers, a combination of such cosmetic procedures as breast augmentation, breast lift, liposuction and abdominoplasty. St. Louis plastic surgeon Dr. Rottler offers numerous post-pregnancy cosmetic procedures.

Breast Augmentation Most Sought Plastic Surgery

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, breast augmentation has overtaken liposuction as the most sought plastic surgical procedure in the United States. Statistics released by the ASAPS show that there were 355,671 breast augmentation procedures performed in the US in 2008, while there were 341,144 liposuction procedures performed. The most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in 2008 was Botox injections with 2,464,123 performed.

The ASAPS statistics also show that women still seek more cosmetic surgery than men by a large margin, undergoing 92 percent of all cosmetic procedures to the 8 percent undergone by men in 2008.

Breast augmentation surgically enlarges breast size using either saline or silicone gel breast implants. The procedure offers a high rate of patient satisfaction and is obviously growing in popularity. For more information about breast augmentation, Boston breast augmentation expert, Dr. Moss offers a wealth if information about implant type, shape, profile, placement options as well as incision options on his website.

Economic Downturn = Plastic Surgery?

According to recent study conducted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, many women are turning to plastic surgery to keep their career edge during this economic downturn.

The ASPS conducted a recent telephone interview of 756 women between the ages of 18 and 64. These women indicated a strong belief that cosmetic improvement through plastic surgery procedures can not only boost self-confidence, but can give that extra edge needed to win jobs, promotions and clients.

According to the study:

*80% of the women polled believed cosmetic procedures offer a self-esteem boost.
*73% believe undergoing cosmetic procedures could help them in their careers.
*13% said they would consider undergoing a cosmetic procedure to improve their competitive edge in the workforce.
*3% said hey have already undergone a cosmetic procedure for career purposes.

Many career women are seeking procedures that restore a more youthful, energetic look to the face, such chemical peel procedures, botox or laser resurfacing. Others seek improvements to their bodies through procedures such as a tummy tuck, liposuction or breast augmentation. Allentown, PA surgeons at Berks Plastic Surgery offer surgical and non-surgical procedures for the face, body and breasts and see women who feel a youthful look can give them the edge they need in today's toughening work environment. With many procedures, such as Botox, busy working women can return to their busy schedules immediately. Other procedures, such as breast augmentation, require 5-7 days of downtime.

Breast Augmentation: Real Surgery for Real Women

According to a recent press release, one of the fastest growing plastic surgery procedures in the Southeast is breast augmentation. Atlanta, GA surgeons at The Swan Center for Plastic Surgery are performing more breast augmentation procedures at their Atlanta practice all the time and say aesthetics and patient safety are their goals. Though breast augmentation is an elective, cosmetic procedure, it is still real surgery requiring real skill to perform correctly.

Before undergoing breast enlargement, one should always make sure the surgeon you are considering is fully skilled in both surgical and cosmetic surgical procedures. Drs Bauer and Conners of the Swan Center in Atlanta are both double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. They operate in a State-of-the-Art, fully accredited surgical facility and use only board certified anesthesiologists for their procedures.

Though patient safety is essential in breast augmentation, aesthetics, of course, is the true goal. The surgeon one picks to perform your breast augmentation should demonstrate they can create the look you seek. With the variety of implant options, as well as incision and implant placement options, it is important to discuss the look you want carefully with your surgeon before agreeing to undergo the procedure.

Drs Bauer and Conners of Atlanta's Swan Center offer an extensive online array of before and breast augmentation photos, allowing potential patients to explore the various looks breast augmentation can provide. They also offer complimentary initial consultations to explore ones options more thoroughly. After all, not everyone has the same goals; not every woman wants to look the same.

According to Atlanta plastic surgeon Dr. Bauer, "Its a misconception that cosmetic surgery is all about vanity. Patients come in feeling uncomfortable about some part of their body, and it has a very real effect on their self-esteem and confidence."

When seeking plastic surgery, such as breast augmentation, it is important you choose a surgeon with the skills to perform the procedure well, and the compassion to listen to your goals and help you create a new look you'll feel proud of.

The Real Reason Women Get Breast Augmentation

Why do women get breast implants? Here are the most common reasons you hear:

1. To get a man.

2. To get giant breasts.

3. To raise your low self-esteem.

Ask any woman who is happy with her breast work and she will tell you this is not so. Especially, reason number 1. Please men, don't flatter yourselves!

The real reason women get breast augmentation has been revealed in a recent Reuters article, women want their breast increased just a cup size or two, and they're doing it for themselves.

A survey in London found that very few women getting implants wanted giant boobs or men slobbering after them. They aren't trying to fix self-esteem problems. They just want to use modern technology to get the full breasts they've always wanted.

Breast enlargement is no longer for movie stars or insecure women, but for every day women like you and me who undergo the procedure for a variety of reasons.

If you are considering breast augmentation, Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Bob Basu can offer you great information.

Breast Augmentation Consultation: A Valuable Tool!

The best way to ensure great breast augmentation results is to use your surgical consultation well. Your initial consultation is your chance to size-up prospective plastic surgeons, get a feel for who they are and how willing the seem to spend time with you addressing your questions and concerns.

Newport Beach cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Milind Ambe, offers this advice for evaluating a plastic surgeon on his website:

"My best advice to any prospective patient is to make sure that you feel comfortable with the Plastic Surgeon that will be treating you. They should fully explain to you, without rushing or compromise, every aspect of the procedure. Their attention to detail should be obvious. Do not ever feel that you are rushed into making a decision--if the surgeon makes sense to you and their work demonstrates skill, you will do wonderfully."

A plastic surgeon should spend at least an hour with you, discussing you goals and medical history in the initial consultation. He or she will need to evaluate such physical issues as your current breast size and shape, your skin tone, the degree of droop you may have, breast asymmetry and other issues. He or she should also carefully explore with you your desired goals, discussing breast implant size and shape, incision options, breast implant placement and filler type. Before undergoing breast augmentation with any surgeon, you should be sure study plenty of before-and-after photos of their work to make sure you like the results they offer. Not all surgeons will share your aesthetic taste, and not all will offer the skill-level you seek.

No breast augmentation consultation is complete without ample discussion of surgical risks and potential complications, as well as downtime and what you should expect during recovery. Though breast augmentation is cosmetic, it is still "real" surgery and should be considered as carefully as any other. In fact, due to its elective nature, breast augmentation allows for more evaluation time than many other surgeries. Many plastic surgeons offer free initial consultations, allowing you to carefully shop around and compare surgeons without added expense. Even if prospective surgeons do charge for initial consultations, it is well worth it to visit more than one to ensure you choose a surgeon you feel comfortable with.

For more information, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons offers great advice for choosing a breast augmentation surgeon on their website.

Spiral Flap Offers Help for Deflated Breasts

We all know that not all cosmetic breast issues are the same. Some breasts are too small for our liking, some are asymmetrical, others need a little lift to correct sagging. A procedure called "spiral" flap is now being suggested to correct deflated or "pancake breasts" without the use of implants.

This year, a presentation on a technique to correct deflated breasts will be presented at a conference of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The procedure uses unwanted fat from other areas of the body, such as the tummy, bra line and beneath the arm to correct the aesthetic effects of breasts that have been deflated through pregnancy, age and genetics. The breast mound is rebuilt inside a spiral flap, which is "mobile enough to permit artistry in shaping, positioning and enlarging the breast," according to an article on Plasticsurgery.org.

Though the spiral flap technique offers advantages such as a natural breast feel, the report says the technique is an option for a only small percentage of women, those with extreme breast deflation from pregnancy, age or massive weight loss. Breast augmentation, breast lifts and lift/augmentation combos are still the best option for most cosmetic breast issues.

What is Body Dysmorphic Disorder?

For many, the topic of plastic surgery brings to mind images of those who seem addicted to cosmetic procedures we've seen and read about in the media. From celebrities such as Michael Jackson to guests on television shows like Dr. Phil, we've seen that a form of plastic surgery addiction is out there and worry about what that might mean.

The "addiction" is caused by Body Dysmorphic Disorder, (BDD) a psychological condition causing men and women to become preoccupied with slight physical defects, either real or imagined. Though most of us have a few physical features we don't necessarily like, maybe even feel somewhat ashamed of, those with Body Dysmorphic Disorder become preoccupied by the perceived flaw, exaggerating it in their minds, sometimes making it difficult for them to socialize, maintain relationships, or even leave their house in some very extreme cases.

Though the appropriate treatment for BDD is still unclear, a combination of medications and cognitive behavior therapy is often used. It is clear, however, that plastic surgery does nothing to solve the problem. Instead the patient either continues to focus on the same perceived flaw even after surgery, or shifts their preoccupation to new defect.

The majority of those seeking plastic surgery, however, have a clearer perception of their appearance. They live full, relatively happy lives but wish to change some aspect of their appearance. Though plastic surgeons are not psychologists trained to diagnosis psychological conditions, they can thoroughly discuss with a potential patient what a cosmetic procedure can realistically achieve. If you are considering cosmetic surgery and believe you are a good candidate, Murrieta plastic surgery specialist Dr.Eichenberg will happily consult with you to explore your options.

Tone New Body-- Deflated Breasts

Weight loss is a tremendous accomplishment celebrated by many women, but its effects on our breasts can be less than uplifting to say the least. When our body looses fat, it loses fat everywhere. And since much of breast volume is made up of fat, our breasts tend to deflate with weight loss. For some women, the decrease in size looks proportionate and balanced with their trimmer figure, but for others the decrease can be disappointing.

“We must! We must! We must increase our bust! The bigger the better, the tighter the sweater, the boys depend on us!”

Some women used to try chest exercises to pump their breast volume up, but breasts are made up of fat and glandular tissue, not muscle. Chest exercises tone and strengthen the chest beneath the breast. At best they can give the breast a slight lifted look, but they have no effect on breast volume. If you study the figures of female bodybuilders, athletes and ballet dancers, all women with a high percentage of muscle over body fat, they tend to have flatter chests. So, though exercise can make you healthy, tone and strong, it cannot increase your bust.

Breast Lift—Offering perk without extra volume

For some women, the loss of breast volume is acceptable, if their skin would follow suit. But often the loss of breast volume can lead to unwanted sagginess. A breast lift surgically removes the excess skin around the breast and repositions the nipple for a younger, perkier look. The surgical scars can be carefully placed to decrease their appearance and give more satisfactory results.

Breast Augmentation—Adding balance and volume after weight loss

Many women want a shapely figure after working hard to lose weight, which means regaining lost breast volume through breast augmentation. Breast augmentation uses silicone or saline implants to enhance breast size, and can be combined with a lift to remove excess skin if needed to complete the look.

For more information on breast lift or breast enlargement, Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Aronowitz can answer your questions.

Breast Cancer Awareness Goes One Step Further

An estimated 3 million women are living with breast cancer in the United States, and 2 million have been diagnosed. That means at least 1 million breast cancers have not yet been discovered - one of the reasons this remains the number one cause of death in woman around the world. Breast cancer awareness goes one-step further in an attempt to educate and save more women from this dreadful disease.

It seems the Pink Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness is going to a new level ...

Garth Brooks has just joined forces on the pink campaign. Garth Brooks new 3 disc set up is dedicating $10 from each new album sale. This is a special edition release specifically to help improve breast cancer awareness in the public eye.

Avon has also responded to the cause with their own pink breast cancer awareness campaign. They've put together several walks for breast cancer including the walk around the world campaign.

Having a pink party seems to be the latest craze. In the UK last year, more than $200,000 was raised thanks to pink parties. You can have a fancy dress party, a karaoke party, or even a pajama party. You decide. There are no rules. It's all about fundraising.

Pink ribbons, pink jewelry, pink clothing - you name it, it seems to be on the market. Many retailers are joining the cause and are donating a percentage of their profits on these items. It's all for the cause and in hopes of a cure.

As more and more people jump on the bandwagon to support the "pink," not only are the amount of funds raised being taken to a new level, awareness continues to grow. And with knowledge comes power to reduce and someday eliminate breast cancer.

A Modern Day Miracle – Breast Augmentation

In 2004 just under 12 million women in America had some type of cosmetic procedure to enhance their body, self-esteem, and even their personality. Let’s face it - plastic surgery is a modern day miracle, and that includes breast augmentation.

Thankfully, we no longer have to live with that crooked nose or that saggy tummy that’s left over from pregnancy, nor do you have to settle for the breasts you were born with. This modern day miracle called plastic surgery can do a lot for you!

If you are considering a breast augmentation or any other type of plastic surgery for that matter, it’s important that you do your homework about the surgeon you are considering. There are many professional, board certified plastic surgeons out there, and sadly, just as many that are not. So be careful and be sure with your selection.

Of all the plastic surgeries done, breast augmentation is one of the most popular aesthetic procedures done. Technically, it’s known as mammoplasty. It involves the use of either saline or silicone gel implants which are inserted through the armpit, belly button, under the nipple, or under the breast in the fold.

You can expect some swelling and bruising after the procedure, but this will subside and you should be ready to return to work in about a week. Breast augmentation is a safe procedure, but of course, every surgery and post surgery has its risks and with breast implants scar tissue can form, an implant might deflate, or it might dislocate. Those are the most common side effects and they don’t happen all that often.

Besides having your breasts made larger, you can also have your breasts made smaller. With this procedure extra skin and fat are removed from the breast. You might be surprised to discover this procedure is almost as popular as breast implants. We just aren’t ever happy with what we have, and as women, that’s our prerogative.

Breast augmentation is a modern day miracle for the modern day woman.

Beware and Be Aware of Breast Cancer

I'm switching gears a little in speaking about breast cancer, but it is a viable topic as many breast cancer survivors opt for reconstruction with breast implants.

There are many talented plastic surgeons who can closely match a breast implant on one side of your chest to the natural breast on the other side. As there are many cosmetic surgeons have successfully reconstructed both breasts for a survivor wanting to have her womanly figure. Some of the before and after pictures found on the internet of these brave women are truly amazing.

Simply being a woman makes you more prone to breast cancer. As woman have more breast cells than men, these cells get exposed to the growth-promoting effects of female hormones estrogen, thereby, increasing the chances of breast cancer development by 100 times more than men.

However, risk of developing breast cancer increases as you get older. A recent survey conducted indicates that 1 out of 8 women suffering from invasive breast cancer are younger than 45, while the ratio is 2 out of 3 women above 55 and older.

Women who started menstruating at an early age (before 12) or go through menopause at a late age (after 55) have a slightly higher risk of breast cancer.

Risk for breast cancer is increased after menopause for women who are overweight and obese. You do have to exercise ... for your heart, your weight, your bones, and your breasts. Do try to maintain a healthy weight throughout your life by balancing food intake with physical activity and avoid excessive weight gain.

I'm sure you know, the earlier the breast cancer is detected, better are the chances of early recovery. The most important point to remember is that if any significant change such as redness, swelling, development of a lump or mass, skin irritation, nipple pain and discharge other than breast milk occurs, please consult your doctor immediately.

Any changes in how your breasts look and feel should be brought to the notice of a medical professional as early as possible. Not all breast changes are necessarily cancer. Detect early, learn about the disease and protect yourself from being one among the affected.

Are Women Happy After Their Breast Augmentation?

Women that had breast augmentation done were asked to complete a survey about their experience. Ninety-four percent of all women surveyed said they were happy with the procedure and would recommend the procedure to others. That’s an overwhelming positive response - 94% positive!

Cosmetic surgery as a whole has seen become more mainstream, and there’s no question just how important breast augmentation has become. It’s a procedure, which women can use to get the breasts they’ve always wanted, using breast implants. But even if you are sure it’s what you want, there can still be some nervousness and uncertainty.

Knowing that most women who undergo the procedure are happy with the results and would do it all over again certainly does relieve the stress of having the procedure done.

It’s important to note that of the 6% that were not happy with their results, a full 4% did not do their homework and landed up with a surgeon that was not board certified or who had a poor track record.

There are many questions that you should ask. There are also plenty of forums on the internet that can help you with any questions you might have. It’s also a good way to find out about experiences different people have had and learn about the good and bad doctors that are practicing out there.

Every surgery has it’s risks, but breast augmentation has a very low risk factor, with the exception of the silicone problems of the past. This combined with improved services, and pricing, make breast augmentation a wildly popular choice.
